Why Papaya?

Papaya is a tropical fruit which has long been recognised for its health benefits. It is a rich source of antioxidant nutrients such as carotenes, vitamin C and flavonoids; the B group vitamins, folate and pantothenic acid; and the minerals, potassium, copper and magnesium. The enzyme, vitamin and phyto-rich nutrients of the fruit and leaves supports immune function and can assist in the maintenance of a healthy immune system.

Why Turmeric and Ginger?

Turmeric contains compounds called Curcuminoids, the most important of which is Curcumin. Curcumin has powerful anti-inflammatory effects and is a powerful antioxidant. Ginger is known to help digestion, reduce nausea, and help fight the flu and common cold. Gingerol is the main bio-active compound in ginger, responsible for much of its medicinal properties, it has powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects.

Why is Black Pepper added to your Turmeric, Ginger and Black Pepper Tonic?

Unfortunately, Curcumin is poorly absorbed. It helps to consume black pepper with it, which contains Piperine - a natural substance that enhances the absorption.

Why Berries?

Berries are packed with the antioxidant anthocyanins, ellagic acid and vitamin C. Berries are great source of the phytonutrient flavonoids, and contain high amounts fibre - a nutrient important for a healthy digestive system.

Why Elderberry?

Elderberries are an excellent immune booster due to the high level of antioxidants, anthocyanins, and flavonoids. Elderberry may also stimulate glucose metabolism and the secretion of insulin, lowering blood sugar levels.

Why Pomegranate?

Pomegranate is a good source of fibre. It also contains vitamins A, C and E, iron and other antioxidants. Pomegranate has potent anti-inflammatory properties, which are largely mediated by the antioxidant properties of the punicalagins.
